Smile Lounge only employs dentists and dental professionals to carry out teeth whitening treatments.

The minimum requirements for all staff are a UK GDC registration, at least two years experience in a dental practise, good English, a helpful and professional attitude and at least two references from previous employers in the dental industry.
All employees are sent on an external training course in teeth whitening (even if they are proficient already) – internally they learn the 10 step Smile Lounge guidelines. Staff will spend a full seven hours of verifiable CPD learning the theory of tooth whitening and then hands-on practice of both power and home whitening. The training includes features like Indication for whitening and aetiology of teeth stains, Science of teeth whitening , Demonstration of power whitening, How to predict results, How to avoid and manage teeth sensitivity.

Prior to starting on-site, employees also receive internal training on the products and equipment used, customer service, company policies and operational guidelines.
